The Jefferson County Farm Bureau Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Mt. Vernon, IL. The Foundation was founded in 1991 with the purpose to offer college scholarships to dependents of Jefferson County Farm Bureau Members. We are proud to support the future of agriculture by offering scholarships to local students pursuing a degree in agriculture at a college or university.

Our scholarship program is funded through donations from our members, and memorial donations made on behalf of members. For 2023, we have awarded two students with scholarship dollars.
Sophie Trader, daughter of Keith and Andrea Trader of Scheller, is graduating from Waltonville High School. Sophie plans to attend Rend Lake College to major in Ag Business.
Macey Prosise, daughter of Terry and Holly Prosise of Mount Vernon, is graduating from Mount Vernon Township High School. Macey plans to attend Rend Lake College to major in Ag Business.

Rick Corners Memorial Scholarship
The objective of the Rick Corners Memorial Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to a Murray State University student who majors in agriculture, agribusiness, or an ag-related course of study.
The 2023 recipient is Reagan Newell. Reagan is the son of Jason and Stacy Newell of Bonnie. He attends Murray State University to major in Agronomy and Sustainable Ag.
