Scholarship

The Jefferson County Farm Bureau Foundation is proud to support the future of agriculture by providing scholarship opportunities to native Jefferson County students. We offer scholarships covering a variety of student levels and disciplines. These scholarships are possible thanks to donations to our Foundation from our members and fundraising efforts. 
​JCFB General Scholarship
The JCFB General Scholarship is for high school seniors from Jefferson County who plan to attend a college or university to major in agriculture or a related field. The link for the 2026 application can be found here.

Our 2025 Scholarship recipients are: Braxton Dent, son of Todd and Kimberly Dent of Bonnie, is a senior at Mount Vernon Township High School. He will attend Rend Lake College in the fall to study Diesel Mechanics. Tanner Johnson, son of Spud and Aubrey Johnson of Bluford, is a senior at Webber High School. He will attend Rend Lake College to study Industrial Electronics and Maintenance Tech. Alex Kiefer, son of Rob and Monika Kiefer of Belle Rive, is a senior at Mount Vernon Township High School. He will attend Kaskaskia College to study Engineering Sciences.

These scholarships are made possible through donations to the Foundation from our members.

​Rick Corners Memorial Scholarship
The objective of the Rick Corners Memorial Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to a Murray State University student who majors in agriculture, agribusiness, or an ag-related course of study.

​Young Leader Scholarship
Our Young Leader Committee offered a scholarship to current college or university students. The link to the 2026 Young Leader scholarship can be found here.

The first recipient of the Young Leader Scholarship was Justin Huff of Dix. Justin is currently attending Veterinary School at the University of Illinois.
