Young LEADERS Committee

Our Young Leaders held an Agronomy Contest for local FFA Chapters in September. Teams competed in subjects like crop ID, weed seed ID, hay and silage grading. Hamilton County FFA was the 1st place team.

The purpose of the Jefferson County Farm Bureau Young Leader Committee is to involve young farmers and ag enthusiasts between the ages of 18 and 35 in the Farm Bureau organization.  If you are interested in becoming involved in our Young Leader program, please contact our office at 618-242-4510 for details.

The YL Committee offers a wide range of leadership activities throughout the year at the state level.  They include:  Young Leader Conference, Young Leader Achievement Award, Young Leader Ag Excellence Award, Young Leader Discussion Meet, Young Leader Quiz Bowl, and Harvest for All food drives.
